In another opinion Bardhaman means rich developing region. It is one of the district under the Bardhaman Division. Area 7024 sq km.
Boundary: towards north east Jharkhand and part of the beautiful and Murshidabad Tuta south is Hooghly Bankura and Purulia to its East is Nodia and to the west Jharkhand Purulia and Bankura district .
